One year ago, as the world was approaching African Child Day, the Muungano wa Usalama Tanzania (TASA), in collaboration with @SportsDevelopmentAid (SDA) and @GlobalPeace, conducted a large community awareness event focused on peace, safety, and the fight against gender-based violence (GBV).
The event, which was held at Naliendele Ward in Mtwara-Mikindani, brought together over 500 stakeholders, including representatives from the Police Gender Desk, Ward Executive Officers, faith leaders, people with disabilities, local government officials, and community members — all united as active agents of change in promoting safety and equality.
This impactful initiative was made possible through the partnership and support of @SFCG_Kenya, @RESCUEorg, na @giz_gm, reflecting the power of collaboration in advancing community peacebuilding and protection efforts.
